IMPACT Clubs promote social inclusion
17th April 2019
Through IMPACT club meetings in partner schools, students directly involved as members understand democracy, active citizenship, human/children rights, discrimination, social inclusion, at a deeper level.
Therefore, students plan and implement activities that promote social inclusion, in the classroom and in the community. Activities take place weekly, at club meetings – they are proposed by both coordinating teacher-leaders and the students – and they are based on the development needs of the students, as well as on the needs of the community to understand, accept and promote social inclusion.
During the meetings, students develop community service projects, to the benefit of the multicultural community. They involve their peers and other members of the community, including parents, guided in this process by the teacher-leader of the club.
